Dog Training & Animal Advocacy
Dania Alexandrino brings a unique blend of compassion, expertise, and leadership to her role as Manager and Trainer at Casper’s Camp Hope Dog Training—a family-owned small business proudly serving Gainesville, Alachua County, and the North Central Florida community. She is recognized for her individualized, hands-on approach—empowering families with the tools and knowledge needed to help their dogs thrive.
Dania’s passion for animal welfare began in Puerto Rico, where she dedicated years to supporting local rescuers. She personally rescued, rehabilitated, and re-homed street dogs with complex behavioral issues. Dania is also committed to public education, leveraging her strong social media presence to inform and inspire others about animal welfare, responsible pet ownership, and the importance of canine fulfillment. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she is dedicated to making high-quality dog training accessible to Gainesville’s diverse community.

Media & Communication Background
Before transitioning to animal welfare and dog training, Dania built a distinguished career in media. She still serves as Spanish-language News Manager at the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications, and held prominent roles as a broadcast journalist, anchor, producer, and national correspondent for Univision, CNN en Español, and Radio WAPA TV in Puerto Rico. In addition, Dania hosted her own political analysis radio shows for Accion Am Orlando, Radio Mambi Am Miami, and Americano Media, further establishing her as a trusted voice in Hispanic media.
Her background in journalism, public speaking, and radio has equipped her with exceptional communication skills, which she now uses to educate and connect with the community on animal behavior and advocacy.
Dania’s journey from media leader to animal advocate reflects her lifelong commitment to making a positive impact—whether through storytelling or helping the “underdog” thrive.
